Toshiba Dynadock USB Docking Station
Not every day I get withdrew about something as potentially boring as docking stations, but then, considering DynaDock manufacturer of highly stylish Regza 40ZF355D, it is not surprising. Not only Toshiba his stunning appearance, but he also has some unique tricks his sleeve that he should do, rather special.

Admission stations generally interesting puzzle. They tend to be rather large and very heavy, and more annoyingly, property or even make a specific model laptop. Now there are two good reasons for this: the connection and traffic. Cynics in me thinks third reason may be so producers can charge more proprietary products that you will have to purchase from them, but to be fair, what makes a good and versatile universal dock can be a problem.

In terms of connecting to reproduce all ports on your laptop (and ideally add a few more), a universal dock normally require to connect the cables at least some of these ports, somewhat defeating the entire purpose of the use of first place in the dock.

There are two versions of Toshiba in a smooth and flat unit available: VGA and considerably more expensive version of DVI (which comes with adapter VGA). Of course, we are reviewing DVI superior model, which not only provides digital communications, but one which allows HDCP boot. Together with its support for virtual 7.1 audio channels of S / PDIF, DynaDock this option should be implemented in a fairly home entertainment extender, theoretically, with all the elements in place to handle Blu-rays. In this regard, it certainly goes far beyond most, but keep in mind that you want to run movies at 720p, and not 1080p, as dock maximum support widescreen resolution at 24 - bit 1680 x 1050 (1600 x 1200 at 4: 3 ).

Despite all this entertainment-oriented functionality, is pleased to see that Toshiba is not left business customers in the cold, with the addition of legacy RS232 serial port for those ancient devices, some offices still use. After went further, it may be argued, for the good printer port, too, but it's just greedy. Instead, DynaDock offers six USB 2 ports (two of which are food), microphone and headphone connection, a 10/100Mbit Ethernet-port. Frankly, we can not think of anything more, we would like. (via)
